By now many of you might be aware that Conficker has infected millions of PC all around the world. Who knows your system also might have been affected.

Affected don’t get panic it’s not gonna crash your system as it’s just a malware.
Many anti-virus manufacturers are offering specific tools for detecting and removing Conficker. These applications do not require installation of a complete AV package. The easiest way to proceed is to download the tool on an uninfected computer, copy it onto a USB drive and then run it on the infected system. NOTE – all of these links start a file download process.

The Conficker worm has been stepping up its activities with reports made of distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks on a number of Russian websites.
David Harley, director of malware research at ESET, working with researchers from Arbor Networks, claimed that a Russian newspaper is stating that attacks on tonks.ru, roem.ru and others are evidence of Conficker stepping it up its activities

Last week, when the Internet’s eighth largest domain registrar was slammed by a Denial-of-Service (DoS) attack, customers of Register.com were left without service and, in some cases, answers. The DoS attack ultimately led to a 48-hour outage, and many customers quit the service citing a lack of communication from the company as a reason.
